1. down here, 4:06 - starts slowly, but picks up after a few seconds; funky & melodic; upbeat 2. things, 2:50 - deep & rich; slows down dramatically around 1:50, remains slow to the end 3. dialogue, 3:25 - slow, quiet, mournful. backing restricted to a single hand-drum 4. man playing the guitar in the subway, 4:13 - begins slowly. picks up around 0:50. brisk and confident by the end. background street noise throughout. song about life. fades out. 5. work song, 1:58 - two seconds of silence at the beginning. all instrumental. funky with a spaghetti western flavour. fades out. 6. commuter meditations, 4:23 - continuously moving, upbeat, heartfelt, fades out 7. river, 4:25 - begins with harmonica, blues-influenced, fades out 8. depart, 2:23 - begins slowly, picks up slowly, warm and heartwarming 9. hello, 4:16 - calm, quiet, slow, warm, heartbreaking, magnificent, fades out 10. because of you, 4:39 - moves nicely, heartfelt, waiting for the dawn of love
