1. Hannaford Street March, 3:03 - Begins with a flourish. Excellent march. Lively and energetic without being overwhelming. Varied throughout.
2. Crown Imperial - Coronation March, 6:13 - Begins low. Rises gradually. Becomes impressive, grand, imperial. A few slow bits here and there. Excellent all round.
3. A Moorside Suite - I - Scherzo, 3:11 - Low, quiet, rich. Occasional trumpet calls.
4. A Moorside Suite - II - Nocturne, 6:59 - Slow. Very slow and sweet throughout. Rises from time to time, but mostly low.
5. A Moorside Suite - III - March, 3:56 - Lively, energetic. A decent march. Slow, pround, triumphant ending.
6. Prelude on Three Welsh Hymn Tunes, 7:55 - Begins with bells and ominous sounds. Grand and ominous throughought first bit. Breaks into something much more springy, though still grand. Sinks into something quieter, then comes out of it with ringing of bells.
7. Fantasy on British Sea Songs, 5:51 - Begins pompously, then breaks into something light and airy. Fair-time. Children's music, in a very good way. Xylophone. Lively and light. Slows down a little over halfway through. Breaks into "Sailor's Hornpipe". Triumphant flourish at the end.
8. Canadian Folk Song Suite - I - Marianne S'En Va-T-Au Moulin, 2:01 - Begins with a flourish, Sets into something lower, more serious. Light and gay moments. Occasional trumpet calls.
9. Canadian Folk Song Suite - II - She's like the Swallow, 3:47 - Slow, sad, quiet, longing.
10. Canadian Folk Song Suite - III - J'Entends Le Moulin, 2:51 - Begins with single melody. Breaks into something much more energetic.
11. Hannaford Overture, 7:35 - Melodic, moves quickly without being frantic. Beautiful emphasis on the high notes. Varied throughout. Always good. Triumphal ending.
12. Side Partners, 4:21 - Quick, light, cheery. Slows down halfway through. Flourish at the end.
13. Marche Indienne, 3:07 - Moves along quickly. Somewhat predictable. Still good. Classical formula.
14. English Folk Song Suite - I - March-Seventeen Come Sunday, 3:17 - Robust, lively. An excellent march. Pompus in a good way.
15. English Folk Song Suite - II - Intermezzo-My Bonny Boy, 3:57 - Quiet, slow, becomes more active halfway through, but settles back down again.
16. English Folk Song Suite - III - March-Folksongs from Somerset, 3:27 - Energetic march. Up and down like a yo-yo. Forceful.
Note: Strictly on a personal note, one of the pieces mixed into the Fantasy on British Sea Songs was "Sailor's Hornpipe", which was the first piece more complex the "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" I learned on the piano. Not quite sure why I mention it, but it meant a lot to me at the time. Good times.
