Comments Overall: Short, jewel-box tracks. Violin pieces inspired by the works of Bach. Some electronic elements. The pieces are short, but running several in a row is often a good choice. 13-14-15 is a good combination.
1. Largo, 3:28 - Slow, longing, becomes slightly more active halfway through. Fades out at the end.
2. Tocceilidh, 2:32 - Robust, lively, sprightly & springy. Strong rhythym. Quiets a bit in the middle. Picks up again at the very end.
3. Goldberg2, 3:48 - Quite rapid. Man chanting in an unknown language (to me, at least). Strong drums. Earthy feel.
4. Duetto, 3:23 - Light, etherial, moves along quickly and beautifully. Two violins playing one with the other. Quite lovely.
5. Echo, 3:57 - Drums, violin, echoing. Feels like something heard from a distance. Odd noises tossed in alongside. Calming and comforting.
6. The Sicilian, 4:06 - Etherial, man talking about visions. Long, extended sounds. Constant background rhythym.
7. Bombay Minor, 3:49 - Begins with violin alone for some period. Simple piece overall.
8. Recit, 5:34 - Sad, slow, longing piece. Steady rhythym. Picks up a little bit partway through. Quite rapid just before the end, then calms down for a slow finish.
9. aria, 0:47 - Lovely short violin ditty.
10. Fugue, 1:44 - Begins with drumming. Various violins interacting marvelously. Feels very Bach.
11. Double, 3:01 - More complex violin. Steady rhythym. Very enjoyable. Trilling noises.
12. Gigue, 3:35 - Slow opening. Drums and flutes. Heaving and rising. A few slow interludes.
13. Prelude, 3:30 - Slow, sad, extended. Accompanied by flute.
14. Ten Fifty Two, 4:46 - Moves quickly, energetic. Percussion helps immensely. Builds to something interesting in the middle. Somewhat storytelling throughout. Strong ending.
15. BADinerie, 2:06 - Bizzare beginning. Very quick and active. Electronic-inspired sounds behind.
