Conceptual Continuity
Artist: Noise Level
Album: Conceptual Continuity
Year: 2010
CD#: 48866
Best Tracks: #2, #3, #5, #8, #11
Comments Overall: VERY ambient. Slow, quiet, lovely. The ideal backdrop to any conversation, really.
1. As Requested, 6:16 - Begins low with something like waves, mellow throughout, builds imperceptably throughout, fades slowly at the end.
2. An Unknown Quantity, 4:19 - Mellow, calming, background humming noise with gentle clicks and beeps.
3. Dreamscape No. 1, 2:27 - Mechanical, with harsher sounds than the previous tracks.
4. Computer Says "No", 4:40 - Begins low, sets into solid drumming. Sets into something somewhat danceable. Long, lingering ending.
5. Loose Change, 4:31 - Opens with somewhat eerie feel. Sets into what sounds like a xylophone. Very energetic throughout.
6. La jetee, 2:21 - Slow, quiet, like something heard from a distance.
7. Secret Heart (Upper Volta dub remix), 4:39 - Rises quickly. Almost rockish quality. Dives regulaurly back into the cd's ambient core, though.
8. unblessed, 7:43 - Loud for the cd. Clanging sounds. Voices in the background calling out. African feel.
9. Dreamscape No. 2, 4:43 - Slow, pulsing beat. Odd metalic sounds. Rises and falls regulaurly.
10. Under the Radar (Industrial remix), 3:22 - Begins like a car turning over. Slightly eerie. Ominous. Regulaur rhythym.
11. Wind From the East, 6:15 - Begins slowly & gently. First notes like drips from a faucet. Rises gradually through. Magnificent.
12. Dreamscape No. 3, 2:17 - Begins clear and open. Something robotic or computerized.
13. Last Transmition, 3:00 - Simple and clear. Like a trumpet call. Melodic. Perhaps slightly mournful. Slightly awkward bit toward the end.
